Chiropractic Care

We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. George Keogh has years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.


Corrective Exercises

We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help improve balance, coordination, endurance, flexibility, and strength to correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in great health.


Lifestyle Advice

We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each our patient is a whole person, and help them reach true health and wellness is a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.


Nutritional Counseling

We provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patient´s return to optimal health. Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you? Dr. George Keogh can provide a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs.


Spinal & Postural Screenings

Physiotherapy

To complement and enhance the healing effects of Dr. Keogh's specific Chiropractic manipulative treatment, we at Proctor Chiropractic also provide the following physiological therapeutic procedures:

Yoga

Fitness Yoga  is taught by Shannon Sharp, a 9-year YMCA veteran fitness trainer and yoga teacher.  Her yoga style combines strengthening, flexibility, and balance poses in a flowing progression of difficulty.  With each yoga pose you will be able to choose the degree of difficulty that both challenges your body and maintains your comfort level.  The class lasts one-and-a-half hours and includes warm-up, cool-down and relaxation techniques.  The cost is just $10 and if you sign up a friend their first visit is free.

Cold Laser Therapy

Our laser is FDA approved for increasing range of motion and muscle strength, and is currently in studies for pre and post surgical healing usage. This energy increase in your body is used in many ways including: Healing faster - Decreasing swelling and pain - Improving the stretch/flexibility in your muscles - Improving muscle strength

Infrared Sauna

Unlike sunbathing, far infrared heat therapy is completely healthy and safe. You can relax in a far infrared sauna and it will never cause your skin to burn.  Far infrared saunas increase the body's core temperature resulting in a much deeper, more detoxifying sweat from the cellular levels far below the skin.  Conventional hot rock/steam heat saunas heat the air with steam, which can often be unbearably hot and will cause you to only sweat at the surface of the tissue. Steam also makes the air difficult to breath.  A far infrared sauna's soothing dry heat that is well ventilated and extremely comfortable and relaxing. Because it operates more effectively (the body actually sweats more) at temperatures 60 to 80 degrees lower than a conventional sauna, the detoxification is from 7 to 10 times greater. EB-Pro Footbath

Toxins can become trapped in the “maze-like” structure of your tissues, or stuck like glue between tissue layers. The footbath sends an energy wave through your feet that travels up into your body. This charge helps to slightly change the shape of the tissue maze that keeps toxins “jailed” and/or stuck, and lets them be released. The toxins are then able to travel out of your body through two routes. Some of them will flow back down through your body (through acupuncture meridians) and back into the footbath. The active therapeutic movement machine allows us to stabilize acute and painful areas of injury while you gently stretch tight, spasming muscles.
