1. Will chiropractic care help me with my auto injuries?

Car accident injuries can range from minor cuts and bruises to more severe whiplash, sciatica, neck and lower back pain. Many of auto injury patients also suffer chronic headaches, dizziness, insomnia, numbness and tingling.

At Proctor Chiropractic, our chiropractic care after an auto accident offers proven results that are natural, safe and give lasting pain relief. Pain killers only provide temporary respite, while chiropractic care and physiotherapy administered by our experienced doctor offers a more permanent solution.

2. It’s been days after my car accident, I am not in pain but I don’t feel like my normal self, what should I do?

Immediately following a car accident, many seemingly minor but significant injuries that need treatment may not be apparent.  High adrenaline levels that occur after an accident can mask many symptoms and pain; it’s the body’s natural defense mechanism that helps us get through emergencies, even if we are injured.  After the body has calmed and is rested, aches and pains often reveal themselves and inflammation around sore spots can indicate injuries that were not apparent just hours before.

Despite the absence of pain, it is still imperative to seek the care of our chiropractors. Many people forego evaluation after an accident only to experience chronic pain as time goes on. Don't let this be you! Pain can sometimes take days or even weeks to set in. Seeing us directly after your injury will allow us to determine what structures have been affected by the force and rapid motion an accident can create on the body

3. I have no health insurance; will my car insurance cover the cost of my injury?

If you have Personal Injury Projection (PIP) coverage, which is an extension of your car insurance, you may be entitled to a recovery of your medical expenses up to a certain limit. Besides medical bills, PIP insurance can also compensate for other injury related expenses such as transportation to medical treatment, loss wage and childcare.

At Proctor Chiropractic, we have a genuine concern for your overall health and well-being. If you have no insurance or do not have chiropractic benefits there is still a way for you to receive the care you need. Many patients pay directly for care, as they discover chiropractic to be extremely cost-effective and affordable.

4. I don’t think I am at fault in the accident; will the other driver have to pay for my medical bills?

It depends. If you are injured in an auto accident and someone else is at fault, in some cases, the other driver’s insurance will cover the cost of your medical bills

5. How long it will take for my injuries to be healed?

The amount of treatment depends largely on the extent of the injuries and the individual’s ability to recover. As a reliable alternative to conventional medicine, we offer safe, drug-free, multiple approached treatments that target the cause of pain and not just masking the pain with medication. The result is complete and long lasting healing.

6. What treatment should I seek other than chiropractic care?

With our multiple technique approach, our patients often benefit from a customized treatment plan that include massage therapy, chiropractic, corrective exercises, physiotherapy, cold laser therapy and active therapeutic movement. Better yet, all of the treatment services are offered in house, at one clinic location
